Adoption Process & Prices

Choosing the Right GraceDachund

At GraceDachundHome, we know that selecting the right Dachshund is a crucial step in the adoption process. Your puppy won’t just be a pet—they will become a beloved companion and a full member of your family.

We want every Dachshund to be as happy as their new family, so it’s important to ensure that both the breed and the individual puppy are a perfect match for your lifestyle and personality.

When choosing your puppy, consider:

  • Do you have preferences for sex, color, or coat pattern?

  • What kind of personality would best fit your family?

  • Do you have children, and if so, how old are they? Are they accustomed to handling pets?

  • Will the new puppy be living with other animals?

  • Are you often away from home?

  • How much time and attention can you devote to your puppy each day?

By answering these questions, we can help guide you to the Dachshund that will thrive in your home and form a lifelong bond with your family.

Reservation

Once you’ve selected the perfect Dachshund for your family, the next step is to submit an adoption request. If everything meets your needs, a $300 deposit is required to reserve your puppy. This deposit is applied toward the total price of your Dachshund.

We allow a 24-hour window for sending the deposit. After this time, the puppy may be offered to another interested family. Deposits are refundable or can be transferred to another puppy, giving you flexibility and peace of mind.

Departure & Collection

At GraceDachundHome, our Dachshund puppies are ready to join their new families between 8 and 10 weeks of age. By this time, they have built a strong immune system, been fully socialized, and are well on their way to being potty trained.

We offer flexible options for bringing your puppy home. You can either arrange a delivery to your address or schedule a convenient pick-up date and time.
